Listening vs Hearing: Why Children Taking Piano Lessons in Mount Gravatt Learn to Know The Difference

Looking For Fun Kids Piano Lessons Near Mount Gravatt?

What's the difference between listening and hearing? One takes intention while the other comes naturally. Our Lively Listeners at Mad Hatter Music School spend the majority of their group piano lessons developing their active listening skills to absorb, navigate, and play their music beautifully. Do you Ear What I Ear?

Like tiny musically inclined Postmen our student’s ears are always delivering little audible letters of sound. The students at our school are highly trained in the art of information retention as they perpetually use their auditory senses to make decisions and process the world around them. Yes, you heard right, we are training your child to always listen to you while strengthening their musical abilities.

Communicate in Community

Learning to listen leads to strong communication skills. Working together in group piano lessons allows our students to bounce ideas off each other and hone the skill of collaboration at an early age. Non-verbal communication is just as important as verbal communication and our school makes sure that we are teaching all the nuances that go into composing and playing great pieces of music.

Heard and Be Seen

The cornerstone of learning and acquiring a new skill like piano playing is ingrained in what we teach but most importantly how we teach. We have created a very in-tune and customized program that forms around each child's individual style of learning. This not only allows them to sit and take it all in, but also really retain each lesson which lets them carry forward that rention to all aspects of their lives. When they talk we listen, and it's always music to our ears.

My daughter loves coming to play piano every week, and she really enjoys learning piano here :) I can see my daughter’s improvement after every lesson. Highly recommend to everyone who would like to start a music journey!!!

A MUSIC SCHOOL DESIGNED WITH #KIDS IN MIND.

People may not always remember what you say to them, but it's the way you make them feel that is long-lasting.

At Mad Hatter Music School our kids fill us up with energy, happiness, and an everyday feeling of achievement. We are simply wanting to return the favour by giving them our undivided attention throughout their learning journey.

Gone are the days where we tell children to “only speak when spoken to,” rather we encourage them to speak, play, and most of all have fun while doing it.

Previously, my son was with a traditional piano teacher. I have to force him to go to piano lessons. After speaking with an educator at Mad Hatter Music, make me realise the importance for a child to have a sense of creativity and enjoy music.

When my son joined Mad Hatter Music after few weeks, I do not have to force him anymore. He enjoys playing the piano and looking forward to each lesson. He enjoys the group lesson where he can learn from others and be encouraged… I love how Mad Hatter has open communication and is flexible to chat with the parents. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
